Summary

These data depict the relative suitability of the natural resources submodel implemented within the NCCOS suitability analysis for siting wind energy areas within BOEM’s Gulf of Maine Call Area. This layer only covers the BOEM Call Area.

Description

The natural resources submodel developed for the NCCOS suitability analysis for siting wind energy areas within BOEM’s Gulf of Maine Call Area. This submodel represents the relative suitability of natural resources across the Call Areas, and includes combined data layers for NMFS protected species NMFS habitats, North Atlantic right whales and marine birds. Data on NEFSC trawl survey biomass was also included.
